Baked Fish

Prep Notes

Use Organic Ingredients whenever possible

Ingredients

Wild Caught Fish * 1 pound

(about 1/2 pound per person) White fish works best (cod, haddock, scrod, halibut)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning

*(Farm Raised Fish is fed corn and other undesirable ingredients)

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
  2. Place fish in 11 x 7 baking pan
  3. Drizzle olive oil liberally all over the fish
  4. Sprinkle the Old Bay Seasoning all over the fish (If you want the fish to have a stronger flavor feel free to add more. If you do not like strong seasoning, feel free to sprinkle less)
  5. Cook covered for 10-25 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish and until it flakes easily with a fork ** (internal temperature 150-160 degrees on a “meat” thermometer)

Notes

**To test the doneness of fish, carefully pierce the thickest portion with a fork and twist slightly to see if it flakes without resistance. If it does not, cook it longer. Test with a meat thermometer for an internal temperature of 150-160 degrees.

Do not flip the fish over for this recipe.

Because fish is delicate and cooks quickly, flipping the fish isn’t necessary.
