Leora Amir, J.D., M.A., B.A.
Leora is a Certified Health Coach and Board Certified American Drugless Practitioner, as well as a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). She’s also an attorney admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
Leora is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Leora Amir & Associates, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in Health and Wellness coaching, training and consulting.
Formerly, she was Chief Executive Officer of Joint Education and Training, Inc. (JET).
Prior to being CEO of JET, she was Corporate Counsel for Artistic Greetings, Inc., a national mail order company.
Ms. Amir also taught at Elmira College for many years and prior to that at Corning Community College.
She holds a Doctorate in Law from Syracuse University, a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
Leora’s passion for teaching earned her many related accolades. While teaching full-time at Corning Community College, she won The State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and The Trustee’s Merit Award. While at Elmira College, she won the Alpha Sigma Lambda Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Leora is the quintessential professional and always commits her time and energy to help her community, individuals and organizations grow and prosper.
As a result of her energy, vitality, and skills, she was the recipient of the Women of Excellence Award from the Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council, and the 5th Annual Tribute to Women Award, given by the YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers. She was awarded the prestigious, international ATHENA Award presented by the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce. Leora received the Women Who Make A Difference Award given by the State of New York Division for Women and The Women’s Center of the Southern Tier.
